Self Awareness is the ability to understand your emotions and others emotions and how you react to them. It is the first pillar of EI and takes years to develop. However, we can help athletes arrive there a little quicker as most elite athletes have a good foundation. By examining our own awareness, we gather insight in how we process emotions and how we talk to ourselves. This is essential to preventing mental health and having a productive self talk voice.
Clients will learn the following in this module:
Motivation is based on learning to be intrinsically motivated. Intrinsic Motivation is an important emotional intelligence skill. People who are emotionally intelligent are motivated by things beyond external rewards like fame, money, recognition, and acclaim. Those who are competent in this area tend to be action-oriented. They set goals, have a high need for achievement, and are always looking for ways to do better. They also tend to be very committed and are good at taking initiative. This is vital to a successful person and corporate employee. In this module, you will learn the following:
Empathy is the ability to emotionally understand what other people feel, see things from their point of view and imagine yourself in their shoes. This is one of the most important pillars leaders require to be outstanding. Good executives need this skill above all others.
EI the term, ‘social skills’ refers to the skills needed to handle and influence other people’s emotions effectively. Social Skills are determined by our ability to understand one’s self awareness, strengths, empathy the more attuned their social skill adaptability will be. In this course, you will learn the following:
The last pillar of Emotional Intelligence is Self Regulation. This is key to being able to function in relationships, at work, in school, and in life. Self-regulation is concerned with how you control and manage yourself, your emotions, inner resources, and abilities. It also includes your ability to manage your impulses. Many athletes are very skilled in this pillar but when developed it helps people to be in control of their emotions for life.
